For years I have preached and taught on that we need to speak the life of Jesus into each other. Our words bring forth life or death. You may say, your going to far with that thought Dewey, but NO! What we say has the power to give life to dreams and callings —-or to snuff them out before they have a chance to develop.
Deuteronomy 30:19 says, Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you should choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
God’s desire for each one of us is life! “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance.” John 10:10
The Bible has a great deal to say about blessings! It speaks of blessing or derivative terms over four hundred times!!!
Today speak the life of Jesus into yourself and others! Now read God’s Word, read all of Deuteronomy 30.
