KOB News just reported 2 names of officers shot in today’s incident based on a “source”. The info was NOT CORRECT. From Pastor Dewey:This is not the time for the news media to be in a hurry to be first. We must respect the officers and their families and the Dept. Let us be in constant prayer for these hero’s! From the Albuquerque Police Dept.: crime 3Two Albuquerque Police Officers and one Bernalillo County Sheriff Deputy currently remain hospitalized at local area hospitals as detectives continue their investigation into the incident that left the three law enforcement officers shot. We pray that all three will fully recover. The families of the officers are being notified.
There are multiple scenes as the shooter fired at officers throughout the entirety of this incident. There are a lot of witnesses that still need to be interviewed. We expect the investigation to last for an extended period of time.
The offender of this tragic event has not been identified but has been pronounced deceased at the 4th and Montano scene.
We ask anyone who witnessed today’s events to please contact 242-2677.

The following report is from the Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff’s Association
Many hero’s were confirmed today. They were not made. While our deputy is still being attended to at a hospital and will have a long road in front of them, things would be much worse if it wasn’t for the quick acting of many. To the fellow deputies and officers who were fast acting to respond to the injury of the deputy, and the several fire fighters and paramedics who ran out of their station to aid our deputy, and get the deputy transported to the hospital without delay, you courage and bravery solidifies why you choose the job you are in.When a deputy is shot, many people ask what they can do. Sometimes, there just isn’t much to do. We put our trust and faith in the hands of the medical professionals who serve this community, and the professionals that will be working endlessly for the next few weeks to piece together just what happened, and maybe why it happened. There were 2 APD officers shot as well who are also currently being treated at the hospital. In the meantime know that the second families that cops have will be guarding our wounded brothers and sisters until they are fully recovered, and be doing everything we can to bring justice to those who caused this and try to prevent it in the future. If you see a cop in the next few days, please try to show just a little more compassion and patience to them than you normally would, as tragedies like today weigh heavy on many.Share this status so that many may see it. Thank you all for your love and support of your community protectors.

Pastor Dewey Note:Let us be in prayer for the wounded officers and families plus all our Law Enforcement Officers and their Families.

Five Law Enforcement Officers in the State of New Mexico have been shot and wounded just this week, with another officer being hit by a car.

Let us be in prayer for our state.

UPDATE from APD: Both APD officers shot in today’s (Saturdays) incident are listed in stable condition and expected to recover. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the officers and their families.

We have not seen any update on the Sheriff’s Deputy. Let us remain in prayer.
