Dear Family of our =
Lord Jesus Christ,

Good Morning all! G=
od Bless you and thank you for stopping by for a CUP! AMEN!

C. S. Lewis

=E2=80=8E”Really great moral teachers never do introduce new moralit=
ies: it is quacks and cranks who do that…. The real job of every moral te=
acher is to keep on bringing us back, time after time, to the old simple pr=
inciples which we are all so anxious not to see; like bringing a horse back=
and back to the fence it has refused to jump or bringing a child back and =
back to the bit in its lesson that it wants to shirk.”
~ Mere Christianity

Back to the ba=
sics……….we must Preach the basics, back to the basics, the Church has=
more product and programs than Wal-Mart!!!!! We have
diluted=
 ourselves.

Much going on =
this day like all days, but let us quite our minds and spend some time here=
at the CUP! The World is a busy place, let us now be with God, our Father.=

Karen Rowe’s Dad, Kenneth Dodd=
went home to be with our Father Saturday at 10:40am. Karen said that he we=
nt home with grace and peace! She shares that
her Dad wa=
s an extraordinary man!

I say we need more men like Ke=
nneth here on earth to produce more Karen’s!!!!

You see, one of the failings in our society is we are not raising up our Children! So =
many children without a Dad or Mom in the house. I am not just complaining,=
I am Preaching that we all need to be a Barnabas to folks! I will share on=
that in just a moment.

I shared with Karen on Saturday that I talk of all people in the present terms because=
we are present here on earth or in heaven like my Mom and Dad, they both r=
eside in heaven with Karen’s Dad.

This is a busy World, and if y=
ou have heard me on the radio, TV or have read the CUP
for&nb=
sp;long you know I Preach we move on to quickly when someone leaves for hea=
ven. We must mourn our loss but also celebrate the life of Kenneth Dodd her=
e one earth and learn from him.

What can we learn, I did not k=
now him personally, but I know him through the fruit he and his wife bared =
for our Lord. Her name is
Ka=
ren
. Karen has grown into being a=
n Author and Evangelist for our Lord. Look at all the fruit!
From
this one child much Godly seed has been sown. =

My challenge&nbs=
p;to us all is, What are you doing with your
life? Are you do=
ing what the Lord has called you to do? Are you baring fruit for our Lord? =
Are you sowing Godly seeds into the World?

You see this World has gone ma=
d for the most part and it will not be turned around until God’s people do =
the above. I pray that you hear the call God has placed on your life. Too m=
any walking around not knowing what their call is. We must be about the Fat=
her’s work.

Kenneth Dodd taught well……=
……

In remembrance of my dad and to thank you for your prayers …
Dad =E2=80=93Thank you for teaching by your life Go=
d=E2=80=99s Purpose in Life :
To live our life right pleasing God in how we treat=
each other … to the point of surrendering our needs for our love of peop=
le, which comes from our heart of Gods=E2=80=99 Love.
My dad … Consistent and a constant in my whole li=
fe & maybe one day I will share some of all I have learned in the last =
5 days, but for Today, KNOW Jesus as your Personal Savior and Make Him the =
Lord over your life!
No words can quickly describe all that the LORD has done, but know you are =
special and as individual as a snowflake and KNOW that God is capable of do=
ing great things for all as we each have our own need.

When you pray, make sure you are praying to God as your Father and=
not just your Creator! Only in Jesus can we call God our Father. So when y=
ou pray, pray to the Father and Praise HIS holy Name and acknowledge HIM fo=
r whom HE IS! Thank Jesus every day for giving us all we need!
I love you dad and am looking forward to that day when we all meet=
up together in the sky to the great Forevermore.
Blessings of Grace and Peace be with you,
Karen
Thank you for=
sharing this day Karen.

For years and years I have studied the life=
of Paul. You talk about baring fruit for the Kingdom, he is the man! My pa=
ssion for our Lord Jesus Christ was ignited by the story and writings of Pa=
ul, struck down, blinded, and then he was healed and became the great Evang=
elist! HPhile was
a=
ided
by Barnabas. If it were not for Barnabas, Paul’s ministry may=
not have happened. We all need a Barnabas in our life, I like to
believe we nee=
d many! I will be Preaching on the life of Paul this Sunday at Crestview Ba=
ptist Church in Albuquerque as I fill in for Pastor Steve Freeman. I want t=
o say right here that it is an extreme Godly honor for Pastor’s to have me =
fill in or be a guest Preacher. The trust that they have in me is a awesome=
blessing.  Let us take a look at Philippians 1:12-14, 19-26………P=
aul was Preaching it from Prison! Why do we worry about having to have a fa=
ncy building to Preach the Word?

I want you to know, brothers, =
that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13 so=
that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all th=
e rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. 14 And most of the brothers, hav=
ing become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to =
speak the word without fear.
In other words, Paul says, “Don=E2=80=99t fret about=
the gospel, don=E2=80=99t worry about me. What really matters is not wheth=
er I get out of jail, or even whether I live. What matters is that Christ g=
oes on being preached. So, keep your love straight, Philippians. Not Paul b=
ut Christ must go on being honored, and in that I rejoice.”

Paul’s Passion

Let me focus on Philippians 1:19-26. That co=
mes right after the section where Paul assures them that even though there =
are people out there using the gospel to rub salt into Paul=E2=80=99s wound=
s, they are unwittingly making him happy because what makes Paul happy is w=
hen Christ is preached.
For I know that through your p=
rayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my=
deliverance, 20 as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be =
at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be hon=
ored in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me to live is Chris=
t, and to die is gain. 22 If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful=
labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. 23 I am hard pressed=
between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is fa=
r better. 24 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. =
25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, =
for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that in me you may have ample=
cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.
Paul has one main passion in life, doesn=E2=80=99t h=
e? It seems clear from this text that in everything, absolutely everything =
he does he is passionate that Christ might be magnified, exalted, honored, =
and shown to be magnificent. Now he has a very strange way of stressing thi=
s. Look at verse 20: =E2=80=9CIt is my eager expectation and hope that I mi=
ght not be at all ashamed=E2=80=A6=E2=80=9D
I continue to Preach and Teach on being=
a Barnabas………Here is some of my study material……….pray over it=
….hear God calling you?

One wond=
ers if Paul would have made it without Barnabas. The Damascus dust may stil=
l have been on Paul=E2=80=99s sandals. The fear of Paul=E2=80=99s murderous=
threats toward those of the Way was still very much a reality when Barnaba=
s took Paul to the apostles and vouched fo
r the veracity of his testimony (Acts 9:26,=
27). Barnabas did not have to do this, but this act of encouragement provid=
ed a necessary link between Paul and the fulfillment of his calling. Severa=
l years later, Barnabas was prompted by the Holy Spirit to look for Paul (A=
cts 11:25). No doubt the Damascus Road testimony had been forgotten by most=
, but not by Barnabas.

Barnabas, in keeping with his name, alw=
ays seemed to be looking for someone to encourage in the ministry. The Tars=
us tentmaker had seemingly been overlooked by the established church and by=
passed for meaningful ministry assignments. But Barnabas remembered. Becaus=
e of Barnabas=E2=80=99 influence, the Antioch church found a place for Paul=
and helped him develop trusted relationships and a respected teaching mini=
stry (Acts 11:26; 13:1,2).

This wa=
s not the only time Barnabas took such an initiative. Remember John Mark (A=
cts 15:37)? Regardless of the baggage or failure from the past, Barnabas wa=
s there.

How many ministers have n=
eeded a modern-day Barnabas to come alongside them to give them ministry op=
portunity? How many ministers sit dejected on the sidelines because of a fa=
ilure? Their church didn=E2=80=99t grow. The vote was not strong enough to =
stay. The program was a disaster. A marriage or family relationship disinte=
grated. Where is the brother or sister in the genre of a first-century Barn=
abas to look for the forgotten, to believe in the divine call, to hope for =
the best?

Darlene Quiring sent this awesome story in….=
……..very important read……..

God’=
s 26 Guards

Here’=
s a message that will bring you chills.

Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and Then just put it on a l=
ist and said, ‘I’ll pray for them later’

Or ha=
s anyone ever called you and said,
‘I need you to pray for me, I have this need?’

Read the following story that was sent to me and may it change the way that=
you may think about prayer and also the way you pray.
You will be blessed by this…..&=
nbsp;

A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home churc=
h in Michigan .

‘While serving at a small field hospital in Africa , every two weeks I trav=
eled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was =
a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point.&=
nbsp;

On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect =
money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin my two-d=
ay journey back to the field hospital.

Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been=
seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time tal=
ked to him about the Lord.

I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incid=
ent…..

Two weeks later I repeated my journey.
Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated.=

He told me that he had known I carried
Money and medicines.
He said, ‘Some friends and I followed you in to the jungle, Knowing you wou=
ld camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. Bu=
t just as we were about to move into your camp, We saw that you were surrou=
nded by 26 armed guards.

At this, I laughed and said that I was
certainly all alone in that jungle campsite..
The young man pressed the point, however, and said,
‘No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, my friends also saw =
them, and we all counted them.
It was because of those guards that
We were afraid and left you alone’

At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to h=
is feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the e=
xact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and =
the man who interrupted told him this story:

‘On the night of your incident in Africa ,
it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to put=
t when I felt the urge to pray for you.
In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church =
to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you.

Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?’ The men who h=
ad met together to pray that day stood up.. The missionary wasn’t concerned=
with whom they were, He was too busy counting how many men he saw.

There were 26.

This story i=
s an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in behalf of th=
ose who love Him. If you ever feel such prodding to pray, go along with it,=
you don’t know what it can mean to that person.

Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to=
forward this to as many people as you know. If we all take it to heart, we=
can turn this world toward God once again.
As the above true story clearly illustrates,
‘With God all things are possible’.

More importantly, how God hears and
Answers the prayers of the faithful.

After you read this, please pass it on and
Give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift=
of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life… An=
d then pass it on.
Who says God does not move on the earth today?

I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today.
To guide you and protect you as you go along your way.
His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him ou=
r cares you know
He will see us through.
So when the road you’re traveling on seems difficult at best,
Just remember I’m here praying.
