I am reminded today with the requirements that God has laid out in the Word about a man being pleasing to Him. Hebrews 11:6,” but without faith it is impossible to please him, but he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder if those who diligently seek him”. True Biblical Faith say’s, God can! Luke 1:37. Presumption say’s God Must! (Lamentations 3:7) Faith is centered on God and His Will.(James 4:13-17) Presumption is centered on Us and Our will! Faith is acting on what we KNOW to be God’s will, even when it  appears  unreasonable to do so.(Luke 17:12-19). Presumption is acting on the Assumed ( To Take Up)will of God, even when it appears unreasonable to do so.(Numbers.14:1-45) Biblical faith believes because God said so.(Psalm 91:11-12). Presumption puts words in God’s mouth(or deletes them), altering what He actually said in order to justify what we want.(Matthew.4:5-6) faith is living in obedience to God’s Word.(Isaiah.26:8) While presumption is assuming that everything is okay.Even when you don’t pay attention to what God said!(Jeremiah.44:15-18) So  true Biblical Faith is total trust in God because of who He is; it is acting on what we know to be His Will, leaving the consequences with Him. Presumption is acting without consulting God first but expecting Him to bless us anyway. The consequences will flow from our own foolishness. “But without true Biblical Faith, it is impossible to please Him. Are we pleasing God today through His Son, The Lord Jesus Christ.
