This year’s theme is “Pray for America.” The theme verse is Matthew 12:21: “In His name the nations will put their hope.”
Shirley Dobson, wife of child psychologist Dr. James Dobson, serves as chairwoman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. She warned that with the nation sliding into “moral chaos,” America needs God more than ever.
“Since 1973, 55 million babies have been killed and violence and terrorism stalk our streets,” Dobson said. “And so the American people are very scared.”
