Dear family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Today is June 14th, Flag Day in America.
What do people do?

Flag day is special to me, my Dad was born on this day and he would go on to serve our Country in WWII as a Sgt. in the U.S. Marines. He would come back from the war and become Assn’t Fire Chief and Transportation Director for the School in Windom, Minn. We had an All-American life! Dad would joke every Flag Day that the flag was being flown because it was his birthday! I will never forget that on one of his birthdays he bought me my first new bike! That would be my Dad, giving gifts on his birthday, he knew I needed a new bike for my paper route. By the way my birthday is on July 4th! So the Flag of the United States of America has many meanings to me, most of all it represents the greatest country in history, the United States of America, founded by God.
We fly the flag every day at the Moede house, I encourage you to do the same.

June 14, 2013. My father did not leave a material inheritance for me. But he gave me his DNA and I carry evidence of his dreams of success. It would have been nice to have inherited great fortunes. So, at age 12, I was given a new Father who would bless me forevermore and make me to be what my earthly father could never give. And my Father’s inheritance will last throughout eternity in all I ever do. I truly am, by faith, Abraham’s seed and heir to all the promises of God.

Today as we fly the flag of the United States of America, one nation under God,and Father’s day upon us, we pray for all those with strained relationship with Dad’s, or for those that have not seen their Dad for years.
