Barack Obama Sworn In As U.S. President For A Second Term

(Washington, DC)  —  Many members of the Lesbian Gay By-sexual TransGender  community are excited to be joining President Obama to celebrate LGBT Pride Month at the White House today.     White House staffers made surprise phone calls to extend the invitation.  Today’s reception could be strained, though.  A number of gay rights activists are disappointed that Obama has not issued an executive order banning federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation.  The issue came up last week when a gay rights activist heckled First Lady Michelle Obama during a fundraising event.  The White House has said the President prefers to see the job discrimination issue resolved in Congress.
