According to police reports, 13 are confirmed dead and as many as 50 still missing in Lac-Mégantic, Que., Canada, after an out-of-control freight train carrying crude oil, derailed.
The enormous wreck reportedly set off explosions and “flattened” the downtown area. Almost 2,000 residents were initially evacuated, but 1,500 of those evacuees are expected to be allowed to return to their homes by Tuesday, according to the CBC report.
