A man was killed in a car accident Friday morning after he lost control of his SUV causing his vehicle to go over the guardrail and flip several times on Interstate 40 in Asheville, N.C., according to WLOS-TV. The driver, identified by Troopers as 43-year-old Shane Dale Anders, who was a member of Sunnyside Missionary Church for 37 years. State Trooper Kelly Rhodes said Anders was “attempting to merge right and realized he didn’t have room and overcorrected,” according to a witness. WLOS-TV reported that alcohol, speed and texting were not factors in the wreck and no other vehicles were involved. However, the victim may have inadvertently left something valuable behind. He posted a moving poem on his Facebook page titled “Eternal Life” about going to heaven — on the day before the crash. Many of the comments on the post are “RIP” condolences, but also some people asked if this was a premontition, because it’s so hard to believe. There have not been any additional posts on the Facebook page.
