It’s been nearly 3 years since the death of Prominent New Mexico Civil Rights Attorney Mary Han. Now, New Mexico Attorney General Gary King says the Albuquerque Police Department botched the investigation into the 2010 death of Mary Han, and he’s urging the cause of death be changed from “suicide” to “undetermined”. King says the department ignored key facts including that the level of carbon monoxide in her blood was too high to have been caused by a running car and that her car, a BMW, had an automatic shutoff to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. The attorney general’s investigation also says APD allowed officers and city employees to trample the crime scene, and personal items such as jewelry are missing, two diamond rings valued at $100,000. King stated, “The cumulative effect of errors by APD make it extremely difficult at this time to definitely determine the cause of Mary Han’s death.”
Han had won millions of dollars in lawsuits against APD on behalf of her clients.
She was not liked by many at APD. The Han family has called for justice for Mary and has a lawsuit against the city of Albuquerque that was just moved to Federal Court.
We need to pray for APD, as it is in much turmoil with this case and the Justice Department investigation into APD shootings, and other problems like Levi Chavez case.
Thank you for this post. The Han family has been fighting for almost 3 years for justice. It will happen with the prayer and good will of the people who care.
God Bless you Jerry. we are praying that the truth comes forth
