Raton, New Mexico needs our prayers. This community has in the past been hit by fire and now flooding. It is a community that I have driven through several times in my travels and it has been hit hard by the depression. (Yes I call it a depression we are in, economically and spiritually) Raton officials have declared a disaster because of recent heavy rains and flooding.
Mayor Bobby Ledoux says pot holes around the northern New Mexico town are immense and says some streets have been destroyed.
Ledoux estimates it would take close to $5 million to repair the city’s streets. The Mayor says that Raton does not have the cash to fix the problems.
Let us be in prayer for the town of Raton.
