Morning Inspiration by Pastor Steve Stucker: Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised. Proverbs 27:21Most of us enjoy being praised. Some have had little, if any, during their life, while others see it heaped on them. In God’s eyes, the most important factor of praise, is not how much we get…but how we react to it! Does praise puff us up with pride, or cause us to crave more inside? Are we tempted to change our beliefs or convictions in order to receive praise from society? Are we more interested in being praised by man, or by God? How we handle praise, is a true test of our integrity. When we are praised, we should thank the person, then immediately give all the credit to Jesus! He is the source of any good we produce, and if we’re honest, we know it’s only right to give all the glory to our Creator, who makes it all possible. On the other side of the issue, pray for the courage and strength to do what is right in God’s sight. Even when we know, that doing so…will stop the flow of the praise we desire on this earth.Steve Stucker
