Madison elementary art teacher posts students’ anti-Walker cartoons

By Ryan Ekvall | Wisconsin Reporter
Some kindergartners, first-graders and second-graders in Madison public schools are apparently preparing for futures in either political cartooning or time on a psychiatrist’s couch.Kati Walsh, an elementary art teacher at the Madison Metropolitan School District in July posted some of her students’ drawings of Gov. Scott Walker in jail. Walsh suggests her young Rembrandts’ ideas for their sketches popped up out of thin air.

  1. I’m sure their deep political convictions came simply from their watching msnbc after school each day. Doesn’t sound like ‘indoctrination’ in any form or fashion. I’m sure ALL 5 year olds are as deeply involved in politics as these are !!! What a shame !!!

  2. P.S. – The world would be a far better place if we had parents and teachers teaching 5yr olds about the Bible & Jesus instead of political propaganda & hateful political indoctrination !!!
