Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Good Morning Dear Friends of Jesus!
Pastor Dewey Note: Our hero Deputy Robin remains in critical condition, let us be in constant prayer. We pray for healing in Jesus name, Amen!
From the Bernalillo County Deputy Sheriff’s Association:
Like and share this status to show your support for the fast recovery of our wounded deputy, and the 2 APD officers who were also wounded.
Deputy Robin Hopkins has been identified as the deputy who was shot yesterday during the pursuit of a man who wanted to kill as many police officers as he could.
For those that know Robin, she is one of the most hard working and heart-felt deputies in our department. In this photo she stopped to take a photo with a little girl who had brought deputies Thanksgiving dinner a couple of years ago.
We would love for anyone to share your stories you’ve had with Robin, and we will show her this post, which will brighten her day.

I posted this Saturday on Facebook:
Late this afternoon(Saturday) I had a young man running up to the house yelling Pastor I need help Pastor I need help I want my life to mean much more for my daughters I want to know God
So many people responded to this little plea…..so many now are praying!
Please pray for Tyrus….he has had a rough life and now wants God. This man came running down the street almost stumbling as he reached our driveway. He is hungry. We talked, I gave him a Bible, I also talked about the Holy Spirit and gave him Charles Stanley’s book. Directed him to the books of Psalms and Proverbs for comfort.
Tyrus is hungry, he came running to me, I am in the AWE of God…….it’s interesting what is happening in our area where I live, people knowing there is a Pastor that lives in that house!
Tyrus needs our love and prayers. He needs to be shown that we care.
God showed me once again why HE put me where I am at, just a simple Pastor being stationed where God wants me.
Tyrus is where God wants him also, hungry for HIM.
Once again God affirmed where we are at with FGGAM, one person at a time, show MY light to one person at time, focus in on them.
There is a reason why people like Robin feel the way they do…….
On April 9th of this year we got this note from Robin:
People stay home on Sundays because, after
They have followed all of the rules and payed all of
Their tithes, they find that the church is not
There for them when they need some help.
A lot of times, non religious people will aid them
The most. I agree, churches need to stop
Focusing on bigger buildings and start building
Hurting people.
God bless your ministry,
Robin White
Indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise.
Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
The growing number of people who don’t identify as part of an organized religion speaks to an increasing wariness of labels in our culture.
Some may be losing their religion, but I challenge the notion that faith in general is waning.
I believe, instead, the trend of people who don’t identify as part of an organized religion speaks to an increasing wariness of labels in our culture. Those labels carry baggage for many who might have been hurt by the Church or let down by religion.
You see, religion alone can only take a person so far. Religion can make us nice, but only Christ can make us new. Religion focuses on outward behavior. Relationship is an inward transformation. Religion focuses on what I do, while relationship centers on what Jesus did. Religion is about me. Relationship is about Jesus.
In order to become a new person, we need Christ. Only through an active ongoing relationship with Jesus can we become transformed and overcome the labels that bind us.
In fact, I’ve struggled with what people think of my label: pastor. For many, this label carries emotional baggage.
When I meet someone new, I get to talk to him or her like a regular person. We joke around, talk about our families, and then the inevitable happens. “What do you do for a living?” When I answer this question, I typically get one of two responses. I either get an onslaught of Christianese phrases — “Oh, praise the Lord! What a blessing, brother Craig!” or I get stonewalled, and the conversation dies as quickly as it started.
One time when this happened, the person I was talking with politely shared that he didn’t like religious people. I chimed in that I didn’t like religious people either. His mouth nearly dropped to the floor. I explained that religion is about rules, but being a Christian is about relationship.
Now I’m not saying is that religious organizations are useless. Obviously, I’m a part of one. I am the pastor of a church and truly believe what Bill Hybels asserts: “The local church is the hope of the world.” But in order to reach the current generation and generations to come, we must change the way we do things. That’s why we like to say, “To reach people no one is reaching, we have to do things no one is doing.”
As churches, we don’t have the liberty to change the message, but we must change the way the message is presented. We have to discover our “altar ego”—and become who God says we are instead of who others say we are.
Peeling off the labels that cling to our reputation brings great freedom for us as individuals and as the global body of believers known as the Church. Only when we push past those artificial constraints can we truly become who God created us to be.
For example, many people think churches are “all about money.” The think that churches just want people to give to them but that they rarely give back.
Besides investing in our communities and helping the poor, our church moved beyond the labels and status quo to embrace generosity in a way that some have called crazy. We’ve created and given away millions of YouVersion Bible Apps every month—more than 85 million to date. We give away our weekend teachings to hundreds of churches every week, for free. Rather than selling products our church creates, we give away as much as we can. More than 100,000 pastors and leaders downloaded more than three million resources last year.
Despite the lack of religious affiliation the research shows, the interest in these spiritual resources has never been greater. As a church, we don’t see these research trends as a threat, but as an opportunity for us to do more.
Craig Groeschel is the pastor of the nation’s second largest church, LifeChurch.tv in Edmond, Okla., and the author of several books. His latest is “Altar Ego: Becoming Who God Says You Are
Please pray for us at FGGAM. We are very busy doing the work assigned by God, more busy than ever. When I say busy, I just don’t mean busy work, I mean working with God and helping people. Pastor Paul and his wife Jo, Sharon and myself pray everyday what the Lord would have us do this day. As the need of Ministry grows as we branch out our programming, Isaac just set up a Media Center at www.fggam.org you will enjoy sermons from Pastor Paul and Pastor Leonard Navarre and others as it is built. Let me know what you think. We are getting great feedback on Pastor Paul’s program on Socorro, New Mexico radio! PTL! We ask you to pray about planting seeds into FGGAM. We pray that others see the work God is doing through FGGAM, to give us the resources to do that work, we are at that point with our expansion and daily needs, we need more of you to plant seeds into FGGAM. We are keeping our head’s above water for the moment. We will not expand where God does not lead. We will keep on this road. We will not go in debt. We are just a little Ministry doing the work assigned to us by God.
Many of you know my life verse, My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24
I was asked by a very sincere man the other day, “What is it like to go into full time Ministry”.
Well, it has to be a calling from the Lord, you have got to know that you are called by God, Himself! Live humbly, drive old cars, don’t eat out much, no new clothes, your resources go to doing the Lord’s work, not yourself. You walk the earth for Jesus, sharing His way of life. Paul and Jo Holt are in the same boat as Sharon and I and we love this life for our Lord. He did not promise us fancy cars, fancy buildings, fancy clothes, material things. We are to live for Jesus Christ. I don’t even call this sacrificing……that is what Jesus did for us, He sacrificed His life for you and me, so let us live for Him.
Look how Jesus lived, very simply. Our society has this all messed up, too many think and do the game of “prosperity”
Paul did not drive a Mercedes , they cut his head off.
There is only one way to prosper and that is to live the life of Jesus Christ and give all to Him. And do the work He assigned you to do.
You will not know the work you were assigned to do unless you have a close personal relationship with Him.
When we posted this we got nice comments from NM State Rep. Nora Espinoza and Pastor Steve Stucker: It is right to repeat this:
We must have mentor’s, we must have people in our lives to hold us accountable! One of those for me and Sharon is Pastor Leonard Navarre. We had a wonderful lunch yesterday.
I always get enthused and also learn very much from this wise man of God.
Yesterday Leonard was showing me a Prayer Circle. It is entitled Go to meet God.
First step is………Praise God……….be silent and seeking……….Admit your sins Ps 51……..Read scripture……Pray for those you watch over………Pray for the lost……Seek your needs Ps. 86………Thank God for blessings…….Sing from the heart……..Reflect on scripture Ps. 23……..Look for answers from God………..Praise God………Amen!
God will give you the answers if you have a personal relationship with HIM. You need to have an open heart, mind and soul to our Father.
Leonard also gave me a devotional book, titles: Jesus calling. Sonja Haldeman had told me about it.
Today’s posting on the Prayer Circle fit’s so well these word’s from that devotional:
Lie down in green pastures of Peace.
Learn to unwind whenever possible, rest in the Presence of your Shepherd. This electronic age keeps My children “wired” much of the time, too tense to find Me in the midst of their moments. I built into your very being the need for rest. How twisted the world has become when people feel guilty about meeting this basic need! (I am.I ask Sharon if it is okay to take a break and rest…..over the years I have been guilty of this and she has helped me much, she says Honey, don’t be foolish, it’s okay to rest! Pastor Paul Holt has helped me with this to, to rest on Sunday.) How much time and energy they waste by being always on the go, rather than taking time to seek My direction for their lives. I have called you to walk with me down paths of Peace. I want you to blaze a trail for others who desire to live in My peaceful Presence. I have chosen you less for your strengths than for your weaknesses, which amplify your need for Me. Depend on Me more and more, and I will shower Peace on all your paths. In Jesus name, Amen.
I have to tell you the more I do as suggested here, the more peace and connected I am to God.

This is AWESOME IN OUR LORD:
PLEASE VALIDATE SOMEBODY TODAY – AS MANY AS POSSIBLE PLEASE !!!
Recovering from my chemo & radiation treatments from cancer with an all not too bright outlook for my longevity here on GOD’s beautiful earth, many have asked me, ‘what’s on your bucket list?’, what would your last wish be?’, etc., etc…
On numerous occasions in life I have pondered this question; – – – in rice patties in North Viet Nam after being shot down, on ships at sea in the Tonkin Gulf under fire from enemy migs, in downtown Beirut at one in the morning trying to recover hostages, in U.S. Embassies in the Middle East evacuating American personnel in danger, on ships being tossed around in 100 foot swells in the middle of hurricanes at sea, in the deserts of Saudi Arabia & Iraq, on the emergency room floor during a major heart attack, on the operating table undergoing emergency lung or gallbladder surgery, in chemo & radiation treatment rooms…
I’ve always half halfheartedly answered the question with little thought and have come up with numerous responses; – – – some funny; some not so; many not serious at all… I think my most recent was when my Sister-In-Law Sue (my precious wife’s sister in Florida) asked, ‘what’s on your bucket list?’ to which I responded, – – – “a bucket of chicken” !!!… (If you knew the diet I’m allowed, this would be funny to you too !!!)…
Obviously, I’d wish for such things as happiness for my precious wife & family after my passing; for them to not live in sorrow or unhappiness because of my passing; their financial & medical health & security; their good standing with GOD, Jesus Christ & The Holy Ghost; etc., etc…
After those, I think I may have found it !!!!!! – – – I’d like for everyone to watch the video I found below… It is, at first, maybe just a bit boring but it gets better long before the end… PLEASE watch ALL the way through the video; you’ll find it very very worthwhile by the time you reach the end !!!…
Maybe my real Last Wish would be for EVERYONE, once a day, VALIDATE someone’s life !!!…
Have a blessed day!
rick
