KOAT Channel 7 in Albuquerque is reporting that the Albuquerque Public School Board decided not to extend Albuquerque Public Schools Superintendent Winston Brooks contract past 2016.
Brooks has been with APS since 2008 but has recently been involved in a controversial situation concerning an inappropriate tweet about Public Education Secretary Designate Hanna Skandera likening her to a farm animal.
The board memebers over the next few days will prepare a performance improvement plan for Brooks.
