Last question first: Obama-Trust-Wise-Biblical Decisions? Seriously? ZERO (0), NO, on all counts!!!
Can Maliki be trusted?: No, he’s already dealt us a backhand on numerous occasions already.
Should we help: NO, at least not without some very very serious conditions. We invested much in money and in blood already. Maliki is faced with al-Qaida on one side and Iran/Russia on the other. If he is so worried about al-Qaida he should talk to his present buddies Iran & Russia about helping him out. Keep in mind, he is already letting them use his airspace and airfields to supply weapons to other enemies of ours in the area. He’s already made his bed and he now needs to lay in it. He had the opportunity to allow us to stay and maintain stability in that country and booted us out. Which is also to hold blame on our own glorious politiker-in-chief who only wanted to play politics at home and failed to fight for our continued presence in that country which could ONLY result in the tragic situation which presides there today. Our help will only help him defeat al-Qaida in Iraq which is one of our enemies but would only be a very small victory in our fight against them. We would still have NO FRIEND in Iraq! His loyalties already lie in Iran & Russia.
We, as a country need to learn, if you want to win a war you must fight that war and the politicians need to go out and fundraise somewhere. The war in Iraq was not yet over and we left; for politics. Neither $’s, nor politics will win Iraq; (or Afghanistan for that matter). They have already shown whom they will partner with after it’s over, Iran & Russia regardless of al-Qaida’s success or failure in that country. Obama gave it up and we left and unless we’re willing go back in, win it again and KEEP it this time; NO – NO HELP (PERIOD) as Mr. Obama says!!! We maintain troops throughout Europe, Japan, South Korea and other places for reasons and it has obviously been a wise decision over the decades.
