Tell New Yorkers Calling Albuquerque Voters to Stay Out of Albuquerque Late-Term Abortion Ban Election
Latest stunt of having New Yorkers phone banking to Albuquerque Voters Comes on Top of more than $800,000 in from Out-of-State money to pay Denver, San Francisco and Virginia Campaign Operatives to Work Against New Mexicans for the Late-Term Ban

ALBUQUERQUE – In an attempt to sway the vote on the Albuquerque late-term abortion ban, New York residents are organizing phone bank operations to contact Albuquerque voters. View here.
“Not only are opponents of common-sense abortion restrictions, on killing pain capable babies past five months of pregnancy, receiving nearly a million dollars from out-of-state organizations, they are now recruiting people from New York to try to dissuade New Mexicans,'” said Elisa Martinez, executive director of Protect ABQ Women & Children. “This is a despicably low, straw-grasping attempt to stop at nothing to squash the grassroots movement of true New Mexicans who deplore their city of Albuquerque as being home to the nation’s largest late-term abortion facility.”
In July, members of Protect ABQ Women & Children, along with other pro-life groups, turned in nearly 27,000 signatures, more than double the necessary needed to put the measure on a city-wide ballot, in half the allotted time. Protect ABQ Women & Children is a local advocacy campaign that is working to raise awareness of the dangers of the late-term abortion industry in Albuquerque and to garner support for the “Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Ordinance,” which bans abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
