Obama Approval Rating Takes a Hit

Obama At The Polling “Abyss”

A new Gallup poll over the weekend is sending fear through the White House. Obama’s approval rating has dropped to 40%, down three more points in the last week. Fifty-three percent of respondents now say they disapprove of his performance. When George W. Bush hit 40%, the media said that politically he was “toast.” The standards are different for Obama, of course, but if he drops into the 30’s the Democrat establishment will be in full out panic mode.

What’s Not To Like?

Why is he dropping? The simple answer is the ongoing train wreck known as Obamacare. Americans with individual policies continue to get cancellation letters of their current policies and learn that they will pay a lot more for a lot less.

Ezekiel Emanuel, an architect of Obamacare and brother of former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, said over the weekend, “The individual market is going away.” He didn’t sound upset! Of course he didn’t. That was their goal!

The White House was warned three years ago that Obamacare was headed for failure. CBS unearthed a memo from David Cutler, a top advisor to Obama’s former economic advisor Larry Summers, warning that no one working on Obamacare understood “how to start and build a business.” What a shock! The warning was ignored.

And skepticism is growing that the website flop will be corrected. Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI) said over the weekend, “They’re trying to change a tire on a car going 70 miles an hour down the expressway.”

Wait: There’s More!

But Obama is sinking for more reasons than just Obamacare.

Every day, more people are deciding that he is a fraud. Veteran Washington, D.C., reporters Mark Halperin and John Heilemann disclose in their new book “Double Down: Game Change 2012” that Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama, speaking of the Administration’s use of drone attacks, said, “I am really good at killing people.” The left is not happy!

Obama’s cultural wreckage and attack on Judeo-Christian values is more evident every day too. Over the weekend, the historic chapel at West Point was the scene of its first same-sex “marriage” involving two men. (There were two unions of women in late 2012.) Do you feel the pride? I didn’t think so.

Meanwhile, eyebrows are raising over a continuing purge of U.S. military officers for reasons that often seem contrived. Some folks are alleging that the sackings are politically motivated. Hey, Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham – how about holding a hearing and getting to the bottom of what is happening.

Feel Like Singing?

Country music legend Larry Gatlin penned a little tune he sang on Fox and Friends on Sunday about life under Obama:

They’re goin’ to mind your own business
They’re goin’ to mind your own health
Goin’ to recreate everybody equal
Goin’ to redistribute all the wealth
They’re goin’ to put a tax on everything standing still
And everything that moves
And the beatings will continue
Until morale improves

Of course, America’s morale is falling.
