We here at FGGAM are in constant prayer everyday for rain or snow in New Mexico. Our friends Julio and Sandra at the Riverbend Lodge in Chama, NM say that it is so dry there and that the drought has really has cut into their business this winter. Julio says there is only about 3 1/2 feet of snow on the mountains. Here in Albuquerque we are about to set a new record for no moisture . If we do not get any precipitation today it will be the 41st consecutive dry day. If the Duke City does not get any moisture today it will tie the longest winter dry streak going back to 1920. As we reported this week, it is so dry and has been so windy that the Clovis, NM area was invaded by tumbleweeds! Many homes were covered with them! Some could not get out of their homes until rescue workers arrived and removed the tumbleweeds. We here at FGGAM have been covering the drought and the need for prayer, it is a serious problem in our state and other states.
I got 6 rain drops on my windshield on the way home from the pharmacy on Albuquerque’s westside! I think we need to keep praying!
