At three people — including the suspected shooter — have been confirmed dead after a shooting Saturday morning at Maryland’s Columbia Mall, authorities say. No identities have been released and details are still being revealed.
This happened at the Sears, at the upper level of the mall.
Police say two victims with minor injuries not directly related to the shooting were taken to the hospital. They say no other injuries have been reported.
They also say that one person had a seizure and the other had a sprained ankle. However, Howard County General Hospital say they’ve received four patients, including one shooting victim.
The Howard County Police Department said Saturday afternoon that they initially received a call at 11:15 a.m. reporting shots were fired.
Upon entry, they discovered a firearm and ammunition and three deceased individuals. One of the dead is the suspected shooter, police say.
The mall is currently in lockdown, but authorities now believe the scene is secure.
Other details were not immediately clear.
