The Word for The Day: Who is wise and understanding among you?

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, be deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. James 3: 13-16

You see it playing out before your eyes, disorder and evil being practiced. It is rampant in our families, neighborhoods, businesses, schools, government, even some churches!

More and more decisions in this country are being made without God. They are earthly, unspiritual, and of the devil.

It is simple as that. The message of God is simple, child like faith is required, Too much of the Church has polluted God’s Word. Now  many in the Church are abusing GRACE, God’s Grace……it’s like many have invented this CREDIT CARD OF GRACE, this makes me very uncomfortable on how many are preaching on God’s Grace, God’s Grace is sacred.

I got a Pastor mad at me because I would not “endorse” this book he was pushing on God’s Grace, it was not his book, but it was leading the way for the denomination he represents. The best book to study about God’s Grace is the Bible.

Too may want a message to tickle the ears and fill offering plate and sell books.

Let’s go back to James 3…….

verse 17-18  But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

It is so important to remember to stay in touch with GOD at all times, through listening to Him and reading His Word, and not the latest fad of the church or the latest wave of new books.

If all these latest fads in the church and with a record number of books available to us, why is the church failing in America?
