Archbishop of Santa Fe, New Mexico Michael Sheehan has announced that the Roman Catholic Church requires him to submit his letter of resignation when he turns 75 years old in July. At the same time it is not known when Pope Francis would name Sheehan’s replacement. Archbishop Sheehan turns 75 on July 9th. He has been very outspoken in his time, standing in the gap for the sanctity of life and marriage. One of my best interviews ever on radio was with him as we talked about this world we live in. He shared in that interview that he never thought when he became a priestmihael Sheehan1, in the coming years,  he would have to defend life and marriage in the United States. It could be up to a year or more before a successor to Archbishop Sheehan is named. Let us pray for the Archbishop, I have found him to be so kind and loving, I pray that he stays around a long, long time!
