Here at FGGAM just like many of you we are surrounded by loved ones with cancer, we also minister to many cancer patients and families.  The big ‘C’ touches most all families. Right now our Dear Brother and FGGAM news reporter Rick Stambaugh is battling stage 4 cancer. Our doggy Reno has stage 2 cancer. My mom died of cancer. This morning my lovely wife Sharon was telling me not to drink so much soda, as it increases the risk that I will get pancreatic cancer. Bacon has been a favorite of mine since I was a little guy! It also increases the risk that I will get cancer. I am nearly 60, I take no medications, I do however have to watch my sugar and blood pressure. I work out, play softball even in these winter months, we started practice 2 weeks ago. I take natural supplements, see my Chiropractor, Acupuncturist and Homeopathic Practitioner to monitor my health and get blood tests from my Medical Doctor. We are called by our Lord to take care of our temple.

There is great debate going on in our society right now on vices.

Marijuana, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, alcohol and other vices do not fit into scripture:

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
