Dear friends of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Contentment makes poor men rich; discontentment makes rich men poor. Benjamin Franklin

At the name of Jesus

Every knee shall bow,

Every tongue confess Him,

King of glory now.

Substitutes abound, but there is only one Christ.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

How are you today?

Last night I was awoke by heavenly music, It was wonderful,  it would last a short while and then minutes later I was awaken again,  about a half dozen times in the night! I was thanking the Lord for the concert as this has happened to be before, but to come find out it was an alert on Sharon’s new cell phone!!! LOL LOL LOL! She got a new phone with our new plan and we both are having a hard time figuring it out! If you want to drive an old person nuts, update their phone or get them a new one! LOL LOL I still have not set mine up, Isaac do you hear me? LOL LOL!!!

Yesterday I mentioned to you that we would have new audio up at FGGAM.ORG www.fggam.org of my sermon this past Sunday, The World We Live In program and also Ask The Pastor program. They are all up now for your listening at our media center. I pray that you will be blessed by listening.

My sister Deb’s mother-in-law, Mary Rogers passed away, we pray for the entire family. Sharon and I enjoyed our visits with Mary over the years, but they sure were enjoyable. The last time we saw her was at Megan’s wedding three years ago this summer. We are praying for all.

My cousin Darry Hanson continues to go through treatment and surgery for brain cancer. Darry is back home in Minnesota for treatment. Please keep him in your prayers. We love you Cuz! We continue to pray healing over you, in Jesus name, Amen! I have been talking to his Mom and Dad the last couple of days. By the way Darry’s Dad, Duane, is known as Dewey, that is how they took my birth name Dwayne and turned it into Dewey back home! LOL!

We continue to pray for FGGAM news reporter Rick Stambaugh, we pray for healing from cancer, we do not claim it, it is not of God. We pray for the relief of the severe pain and healing of the cancer, in Jesus  name, Amen!

Let us now go into this study…………

I know He tries me only to increase my faith-J. Hudson Taylor

One of the frustrating things in life is that we always don’t know why God allows problems. I am facing challenges just like you probably are today. Some are facing severe illness, jobless, stress at work, depression, a sick loved one, etc. We do know that He intends to use them to heighten our maturity and deepen our faith.

Trials and troubles are dumbbells and treadmills for the soul.

Faith has a cumulative quality to it. We amass and garner it. We grow it and lay it in store for future times. Our faith should grow stronger through the seasons of life. I pray that yours does, sometimes it is tough.

Fully Rely On God.

In Luke 1 when Mary was visited by her relative Elizabeth, the latter cried out, “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!”  verse 45. What a great definition! Faith is believing that what the Lord has said to us will be accomplished. You see God’s Word speaks to us everyday through the Holy Spirit and the Bible.

In Romans 4, Paul wrote that Abraham “was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised” verses 20-21 That’s a similar definition : being fully persuaded that God has the power to do what He has promised.

Did you know there are around 3,500 promises from God in the Bible?

In the violent storm in Acts 27, Paul shouted over the tempest, “last night an angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me and said, “Do not be afraid. Paul, You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.” So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me” Verses 23-25

There we have another definition of biblical faith: believing that things will happen just as He told us.

You, like me have your own testimony how your faith in God has pulled you through so many trials! I encourage you to share them with the world, to help encourage others in their faith in Jesus Christ. You will also find that by speaking of your faith, it will also encourage you!

For God’s Glory Alone in the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ, Dewey, Sharon, Paul, Jo, FGGAM Board and families

Let us keep praying for each other and our familiesfaith.
