Fukushima – The Greatest Non-Event in Human History

The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant located in Japan was destroyed on March 2011 due to a major offshore earthquake known as the “2011 Tohoku Earthquake.”[1] The earthquake measured over a 9 Mw on the magnitude scale which on its own has had an impact on the whole of the earth. However, add in the addition of the destruction of one of the world’s largest nuclear reactors that has now started a chain of events that will be with us for the rest of our lives. You would think that this type of news would still be relevant three years after the fact.

Since the time of the disaster the nuclear plant has been leaking approximately 300 tons of radiated water into the Pacific Ocean every day.[2] Not to get too scientific but the results of over exposure to radiation is bad. Radiation not only affects the living things that it comes in contact with physically, but it also affects the DNA of the exposed producing genitive defects.[3] High doses of radiation can cause mutations in the DNA that will have a hereditary effect.[4] Meaning that the changes made to the DNA of the infected by high doses of radiation will be passed down to the next generation.

Almost three years later we are starting to see the effects of long-term high dose radiation exposure from Fukushima on the west coast of the United States. Numerous reports of the resulting effects of the leaking radiation is being tracked and documented. The sea and land animals are reporting signs of over exposure to the increased levels of radiation.[5] [6] The contamination is also effecting the food supply as well.[7]

However, the UN has assured us that there is nothing to worry about with the increased levels of radiation.[8] U.S. Officials are also stating that there is no issue with a 500% increase in radiation levels that are being detected in California.[9] And the Japan government along with Ann Coulter not only acknowledge the increased high levels of radiation, but goes further in stating that in fact this is a good thing because higher levels of radiation is beneficial to us and will help us in the fight against cancer![10] [11]

It seems that the resulting events of the increasing radiation from Fukushima is a non-event. According to main stream news outlets (due to their lack of coverage) this is old news. However, there are some telling developments that show the opposite is true. Japan passed a law banning journalist from reporting on these types of events due to national security. With up to ten years in  prison for whistleblowers or journalist that report on events that fall under the “state secrets” category that can include the events of Fukushima.[12]

It has also been reported that the U.S. government has been buying around 14 million doses of potassium iodide which is known to assist in countering the effects of over exposure to radiation.[13] (This reminds me of the articles of the government purchasing billions of round of ammunition for local officials).

It also seems that U.S. insurance companies do not believe this is outdated story due they are trying to stay ahead of the “fallout” by adjusting their coverage not to include the effects of nuclear radiation exposure.[14]

Many people will call this fear mongering and they may be right. Mongering can be defined by combining two meanings. The first being “a dealer in a specific commodity” and the second “a person promoting something undesirable or discreditable.”[15]

We have responsibility as human beings to treat others with the same respect that we expect to be treated (Luke 6:31). And there is no bigger commodity in this world than the Truth.

You cannot understand the Good News of the salvation of Jesus Christ until you have first understand the bad news of the penalty for sin (Rom 6:23). We are sinners living in a fallen world. Our purpose, the church, is to show people the decay that the world has brought on itself by turning their backs to God. And that only through Jesus Christ will they escape the finality of their sin.

Why did I write this article? People need to know the truth and it’s a reminder that this world is not our home.

We need the heart of our forefathers like Abraham that by faith looked for a city whose builder and maker is that of God (Heb 11:9-10) and he was looking ahead of this life for what awaits. And like the heart of Joshua when faced times of evil and decay and declared that “as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD (Joshua 24:15).

  1. The best move to make on an individual level is to decontaminate yourself.

I live on the West Coast, ate a ton of sushi. I started to feel bad, with chest pains, and was worried about radiation in my body.

    I am now using:
    -bentonite clay-sprinkle on food
-Vitapect tablets-developed by the EU as atreatment after Chernobyl to remove cesium from the body.
-sodium alginate tablets to remove strontium

I have started to feel better, though I wont be eating a lot more sushi.
