Iran Set To Resume Nuclear Talks Amid Border Dispute With Pakistan

Nuclear blast (Illustrative)On the eve of renewed talks between Iran and the P5+1 nuclear powers (US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told local media Monday that he was frankly “not optimistic” about the talks which he thought would “lead nowhere” but that he was nevertheless “not against them.” Even as the talks begin in Vienna on Tuesday, Iranian military units were poised to make an incursion into nuclear armed neighboring Pakistan to free several Iranian border guards who were taken hostage by a terrorist group last week in Iran’s restive southeast province of Sistan-Baluchistan. Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli reportedly delivered an ultimatum to his Pakistani counterpart on Monday that unless Islamabad “act firmly against the leaders and members of the terrorist group who have fled into Pakistan” Iran will take matters into its own hands. Read More

  1. It is funny that the Iranian Regime accuses another country for not taking necessary measures toward terrorism. You know why? Because Teheran had supported al-Qaida by offering accomodation for its members on its soil. A regime which provides bases for terror cells complains at other countries for not taking enough steps.
