A Troubling Pattern of Destruction

We said last year when the supreme court gave their ruling on marriage that it would have a bad effect on traditional marriage and the traditional family.  Last December activist-judges on the the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled to redefine marriage.

Today the trend continues.  Recently a federal judge overturned Virginia’s ban on same sex marriage.  Meanwhile in Wisconsin liberal activists are flooding the state to push their same sex marriage agenda.  In Kentucky, the attorney general has gone around the law (not unlike our own New Mexico Attorney General Gary King) and is saying that the state should recognize same sex marriage licenses from other states.

The Good News

The Indiana legislature has approved House Joint Resolution 3 “which the Indiana legislature passed for a second time proposed constitutional amendment language that would protect marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”

In Wyoming the House of Representatives has overwhelmingly defeated a bill to redefine marriage for the second year in a row.  We have a lot of work towards restoring marriage in New Mexico, but are developing relationships to make this happen.

Send a “THANK YOU” to the legislators
who supported marriage in court last year.

Contact the Senators and Representatives who supported marriage in court last year: Tell them: “Thank you for your support for the traditional family and marriage in court last year.”Last week our sister organization Voices for Family Values encouraged our members to thank New Mexico legislators who supported traditional marriage, but we forgot to include Representative James White.  We are sorry about this mistake and would encourage you to contact and thank Representative White as well as the dozens of other Senators and Representatives who supported traditional marriage!
