SHAKE!

“This song is about enjoying the fact that we’re changed, having joy and living life that way.” -Bart Millard, MercyMe

LIVE! “…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10

Life in Christ is lived on a higher plane because of his overflowing forgiveness, love, and guidance. Have you taken Christ’s offer of life?

BE TRANSFORMED! “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

“Sometimes the greatest miracle of all is the one that happens in your own heart, the change that takes place in you and then surprises you as it filters into the seams and fabric of your whole life. The effects of a changed person on their surroundings can be staggering!” – The Resolution for Women

CHOOSE JOY! “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22

Joy is a decision. Choosing joy is deeply rooted in our faith, hope and trust in God.  Greet others with a cheerful welcome and a word of encouragement!  Have enthusiasm for the task at hand, and a positive outlook on the future!

BE THE SPICE OF LIFE! “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.” Matthew 5:13

If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value.  Christ followers should not blend in with everyone else. Just as seasoning brings out the best flavor in food, we should affect others positively.

LIGHT YOUR WORLD! “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”
Matthew 5:14-16

The light of a city on a hilltop can be seen for miles. If we live for Christ, we will glow like lights, giving the world a glimpse of who Christ is!

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
