Oh, the dreadful pains of waiting. Waiting for change. Waiting for the shift. Waiting for the promises of God. It can be likened only to the misery of laboring in birth. Let’s face it. Waiting in those months of carrying the gift inside of us is exciting in the first trimester, loses its glimmer in the second, and all but makes us lose our mind in the last stages before delivery, and when the first hard pain hits we wonder if we did indeed lose our minds! What were we thinking! Waiting on our promise from the Lord is no different. We hear from God about this glorious thing we are to experience and then after a while of carrying the gift and seeing nothing coming to pass, we begin to get doubtful and most times very weary. Then the labor pains begin, and we wonder if it was all worth it because it can truly be unbearable at times. Pushing….laboring….crying….hurting….worrying….sweating…. I mean let’s be real, bringing the vision to pass is hard work! But oh, when we make that final push and we hear the voice of our long awaited promise cry out and we can finally hold it in our arms….there is nothing else on earth like it and we know then that, yes, it was worth all the time we had to carry it and worth all the pain of delivery. So, if you are waiting today, don’t be discouraged. You are about to make that final push and you will get to hold your promise and look at it face to face and it will be more beautiful than you ever imagined it could be. It will take your breath away. It may not feel like it today, but good things are in store. He says Hold On My Child!! We are almost there!! And you are…. so get ready….
