These stories of child abuse are coming along all too often in New Mexico. It is being reported by KOB.com that a little four month old baby girl, Izabellah, had died from her injuries Sunday, after two weeks on life support for brain damage and trauma injuries. Police say she was both abused and sexually assaulted.
This sick and perverted act was reportedly done by the mother’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Elijah Fernandez, who police believe was using drugs at the time while little Izabellah’s mother, Angelique Montano, went out to do laundry.
The report from KOB says;
Police said Fernandez admitted to slapping the child because she was crying. A nurse also evaluated the infant and found evidence of sexual assault. Fernandez was arrested and charged in the case on Feb. 8. He now faces a charge of child abuse resulting in death.
It is not clear from the report if Elijah Fernandez was the father of Izabellah. Consider that she was only 4 months old, her mother apparently was living with different man from the father. She did not know this man very well based on the end result. Once again the government of the state of New Mexico and the United States are encouraging this lifestyle though entitlement programs and the church is not condemning these choices that bring death and destruction to our children.
