FGGAM News has learned that Russia now has 40,000 troops near the Ukraine border. The Pentagon fears that Putin is getting ready to invade Ukraine, this despite Putin calling President Obama today to talk about diplomacy regarding the situation. A Pentagon source told NBC News today that it is believed that Putin aims to have a clear path from Russia through Ukraine to Crimea. Along with the 40,000 Russian troops that are ready at the border are tanks, attack helicopters and field hospitals. The Pentagon source also admitted to NBC News that if Putin decides to invade Ukraine, there is nothing the United States and Ukraine can do. FGGAM News will continue to monitor the situation.
