Are You In Alignment With God?

alingmentDear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

How are you today?

I pray that you sense God with you!

Sharon and I also pray that your life, and the life of your loved ones is in alignment with God.

I am going to try and get some rest today, another late night last night, till midnight. Please pray for me. I pray that you drink this CUP and it is a blessing to you!

I am going to share with you today on proper alignment with God.

Last night I witnessed something very unfortunate. Men behaving badly.

It was the opening of softball and a team in the Albuquerque City League not Church the league, broke my heart with their behavior.

Men behaving badly. It disturbed my spirit tremendously. I thought how do these men expect this to end in a good way?  It did not, the Umpires ruled a forfeit.

The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man ‘Blinded’ (2 Cor. 4:4) ‘Depraved’ (Rom. 1:28) ‘Corrupt’ (1 Tim. 6:5) ‘Unspiritual’ (Col. 2:18). The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of God. The natural mind walks a path of self-destruction.

My Daddy taught me the basics of life……2 plus two is 4!

There are Biblical basics we need to pay attention to!

Daddy was a SGT. in the U.S. Marines in WWII. He always taught us that their is ramifications to bad behavior. We cannot expect the blessings of God with bad behavior.

I was sad last night, feeling for those men and their aching hearts, for their wives and children.

A few years ago pastor Leonard Navarre shared with me an article ‘Hindrances To Prayer’

I preached on that this weekend. I don’t think it is taught enough. We cannot go to God like HE IS SANTA CLAUSE! HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY!

There are Biblical ramifications for bad behavior, just like the United States not being a Godly friend to Israel, there is and will be Biblical ramifications from this lack of support to Israel, we already are experiencing it!

Why are our prayers hindered?

1. Rebelling against God. Read Deut. 1: 43-45 Are you rebelling against God? The United States certainly is. We have an unGodly man in the Oval office. Those men last night were also rebelling against God.

2. Sinfulness/Wickedness in my heart. Read Psalm 66:18

3. Hated knowledge from God/nor fear of God. Read Proverbs 1: 28-29.

4. Shutting ears to the cry of the poor. Proverbs 21:13

5. Refusing to listen to God’s law and teaching. Proverbs 28:9

6. Having hearts of stone/harden hearts. Zec 7:13

7. HERE IS A BIGGIE FOR THE AMERICAN FAMILY! Friction/disagreements in families, especially husbands and wives. 1 Peter 3:7

8. Wrong motives in the requests. James 4:3

Many people struggle for weeks, months and even years wondering why God does not answer their prayers. In many cases it is because they are out of alignment with God.

When we are out of alignment with God 2 plus 2 equals 5, when we are in alignment with God 2 plus 2 will always equal 4. It does not mean that God will always answer our prayers the way we would like, but He will answer, and it will be a better answer than what we asked for.

I pray today that your life is in alignment with God. You do know what happens to a car that is out of alignment right? It wears it’s tires out and sometimes goes into the ditch.
