(Phoenix, AZ) — The debate over religious freedom appears far from over in Arizona. The state House has its own bill on the topic which addresses another aspect of the controversy that recently created national debate. House Bill 2481 will undergo a debate by the full House of Representatives and has so far advanced mostly through party-line votes. Like the recently vetoed SB1062, this bill also promotes religious freedom by preventing government from forcing clergy and judges to perform marriage ceremonies that don’t match the minister’s religious beliefs
