Over a million Israelis living in southern Israel were targeted by a baggage of rockets fired by the Islamic Jihad terror militia in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening. The IDF reported at least 60 rockets, the largest barrage since Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012, with 8 rockets landing in civilian residential areas and three being intercepted by the IDF’s Iron Dome system. An IJ statement said over 90 rockets had been fired, adding the barrage was in revenge for an IDF airstrike earlier in the week which killed three terrorists as they were preparing to launch a mortar bomb into Israel.
