(Salt Lake City, UT) — A Mormon women’s group is being kept out of a male-only leadership conference. Ordain Women had its request of 250 tickets for the semi-annual meeting in Salt Lake City turned down and church leaders say the women may be kept off church grounds if they try to get in. Instead, the women have been invited to watch the proceedings on TV or on the Internet. The group has been calling on the church of Latter-day Saints to ordain female members to the priesthood. The church’s General Conference is scheduled for April 5th and 6th.
