(Texas City, TX) — Crews continue cleaning up this weekend’s Texas oil spill, that closed Houston ship channel. Nearly 170-thousand gallons of fuel oil spilled when a barge and a cargo ship collided. That’s put a stop to fishing along the coast at Texas City, 40 miles southeast of Houston. It’s also shut down cruise terminals and tourist ferry boats to the Bolivar Peninsula. The Coast Guard won’t allow any ships to leave port until the spill is completely under control.
