Dear Family of our Lord Jesus Christ,

PRAISE GOD! We are here for another day to share with you!

Please forward the CUP too many of your friends today! Okay? It will bless many including us! Praise God! Thank you!

This is the world we live in………..

Detroit Tiger baseball player, Miguel Cabrera just signed a new contract, he will earn $49,423 PER AT BAT over the next decade. Median annual income of a household in Michigan: $48,471.

Now this is just asinine! For non-baseball fans it means every time Cabrera comes to the plate to hit he is paid $49,423.00……the annual household income in Michigan is $48,471.00….that seems high to me! In New Mexico the stats show $44,900.00, that also seems to high to me. Anyhow it does not take away from the asinine salary that Cabrera is getting paid.  It is stuff like this that has our society all out of whack and not focused on the ways of Jesus Christ. Since I follow baseball, even thou less than I did, it’s getting tough to enjoy the game, I can tell you CABRERA IS NOT A ROLE MODEL! He is not one to hold up to the youth of our Country as a model citizen.

That is the world we live in………….

But as Pastor Ruben Gomez from Midland, Texas told me last night on the phone let us smile and look skyward to our Lord! Amen!

Only believe, and thou shalt see

That Christ is all in all to thee.

By John Monsell

Martyn Lloyd-Jones wrote in his book, The Kingdom of God………

You and I are not left to try to delve into the mystery of the being and the person of God and to try to discover a way out of our predicament. No, the message is like this: God “hath visited and redeemed His people” Luke 1:68. “God so loved the world”—-this world, this damned, foolish, evil world that you and I live in and which we are all a part by nature—-God so loved it, “that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16

So the Preaching of the Gospel comes to us and it does not invite us to a quest or to an endeavor or to some wonderful thrill of hoping to find it. It says, “Just as you are, look back, God has already done all that is necessary for your EVERY NEED AND FOR YOUR SALVATION.

The message of the Bible is not to urge us to try and find the truth; IT IS TO ASK US TO LISTEN TO THE TRUTH, TO GOD’S TRUTH. For it’s whole point is to say that God, knowing himself, knowing man, knowing everything, has devised and schemed a plan whereby men and women can be delivered out of their failure and sin and can be made citizen’s and worthy citizens of God’s Kingdom, God’s plan!

AMEN!

What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking on your Door today?

What would embarrass Jesus in the way you are living?

What would you want to hide, if anything?

What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking on your door at your place of work?

What would you want to hide, if anything?

What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking at the door of your Church?

Think about these things…..

Love this……..I also use it further into the CUP!

The famed British evangelist Gipsy Smith used to ask his audience, “Do you really want to see a revival begin?” When the people said yes, Gipsy replied, “Then go back to your home and draw a circle around you on the floor. Then get down on your knees in the middle of the circle and ask God to convert everybody inside that circle. When you do that, and God answers, you are experiencing the start of revival.”

Mining The Truth For Credit

Outstanding writing by Karen Rowe………..

One day Jesus was praying in a “Certain Place” and then, he taught us to pray the most powerful prayer that covers all our needs we can ever have in this world!
JESUS prayed in a certain place –Knowing the Bible and the character of God -perhaps up on a hill; or down in the heart with those who mourned, but Never in a ditch!

3 DITCHES TO STAY OUT OF: THE DITCH OF DIS -HONESTY … DIS – RESPECT … DIS – OBEDIENCE.

God’s family prays! Who is God’s family? The answer is found in Scripture:

Matthew 12:46-50 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus’ Mother and Brothers
46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

God’s Family is We, who believe in God’s testimony about His Son –who believe in God’s Truth, God’s Way and God’s Life through His Son Jesus, Whom is the Christ the Son of the Living God!

Why do we pray? We pray for many reasons as prayer is direct communication with God; and one reason is that we pray for times in trouble! Troubles? –It sounds like we need powerful and effective prayers!

So what does the Bible say about how to pray?

James 5:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Okay, but what about the times we really don’t want to admit to our self –or God; much less to others that we have hidden sins in our heart? Well, do you want to hold bad thoughts captive –or set them free from you?
The Bible tells us something the Holy Spirit also reminded me a few years ago:
James 3:14 NIV
But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

God encourages us to search our heart to know his perspective about all things –IN ORDER to understand what it means to pick up our cross and follow Jesus!

How do you ask God to search your heart? By joining God when you ask Him to look into your heart and reveal to you what you don’t even know or see!

The Lord’s Prayer –Is a POWERFUL Prayer, which is calling on God to help us; as we acknowledge who God IS! And, if you believe; and if you call God –remember to Speak and Listen! Don’t be so quick to get off “the phone” call!

Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Here’s a powerful thing to know: In your day of trouble, it will directly involve: envy and selfish ambition in some form or another, (to overcome), but remember …
THE WAY OUT of the TROUBLE is the TRUTH (do not deny the Truth)!
Psalm 50:15
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

3 Ditches to stay out of: the ditch of Dis -honesty … Dis – respect … Dis – Obedience.

A personal message from my personal public journal today!
I love this message through this morning’s struggle … teaching responsibility with my son … NOTICE with … I learn too and I think that is just so awesome of God to teach us the how’s to walk blessed together!
I really believe and personally strive to honor God that … in every message of the Lord that we share … it should always begin with I am learning as God speaks.
So on the road, I discover a really cool hidden truth:
We can be dishonest with our self … trying to hide the truth from God…about things we really don’t want to admit; BUT God already knows!
God teaches us: “Do NOT DENY THE TRUTH” for our blessings to pour over us … as we grow and learn in the LORD JESUS CHRIST!
I am not perfect, but GOD IS!
I Sure hope this is a blessing to someone out there…because God loves you enuff to teach you … as much as God loves me enuff to teach me!
God loves you!
Have a great day friends!
Love in Christ, Karen

Lastly, A personal encouragement from me to you!
Today is a Good … GOOD day! I am still tired but not so MUCH!!!
I can finally see some of what God already knew! Holding tight to Jesus is a strong position in life!
And when we find our self over whelmed … Head on through that storm WITH God!
And notice all the waves you actually were walking on “The Water”!
This is my praise to God!
Exclaimer: This is intentional to encourage you in your personal walk with Jesus ♡

Let us pray over today’s headlines in New Mexico:

Nearly 157,000 children in New Mexico are hungry each day or at the risk level.

New Mexico is at the bottom of a new report on child hunger. A ranking by Feeding America shows one-third of the children are going hungry. Data Book indicates the state is plagued by poverty, and came in last for healthy children last year.

New Mexico consistently  just hangs around the bottom in this Godly issue of child hunger, this is completely unacceptable. Thanks to efforts like this in Edgewood, New Mexico at the Edgewood Mobile Food Pantry at Valley View Christian Church, many families are fed each month. It is a blessing that Valley View and the Community of Edgewood get behind the effort to feed families, doing what the Church is to do. Whether Democrats or Republicans hold the top spots in State Government, child hunger remains serious. It is because it is not a political issue, it is a Godly issue, revival in our homes is needed. I pray for more Churches like Valley View that minister right into the homes of the area, whether they go to church there or not.  The outreach that Valley View and The Edgewood Mobile Food Pantry has in that area, East Mountains, Tijeras, Moriarty, and Estancia areas., is an EXTREME BLESSING! I will also add that Valley View also has a Weekend Backpack Program, providing weekend food for children at local elementary schools. PRAISE GOD!vallet view food pantry

Also more bad news for the New Mexico:

A new state-by-state comparison of graduation rates at four-year public colleges places New Mexico near the bottom of the list, with just three states – posting lower percentages of students who earned their bachelor degrees within six years.

The graduation rate for first-time students who enrolled in 2007 in New Mexico was a fraction above 45 percent. Nationwide, it was 63 percent.

Child hunger and education need to be addressed from God’s perspective, not man’s. Stop throwing money at these issues, throw Godly efforts at them. One teacher told me, “Enough of throwing money at education, we need a revival in our homes. We need to feed our children so they can come to the classroom and learn, we need to stabilize families.”

Children cannot learn with an empty stomach and unstable home life.
