This is just dumb! Let’s call dumb, dumb. The Water Authority advertises, I assume they pay money for that, and promotes “conserving water”. Albuquerque residents have done a great job doing that! Water usage has dropped 9 percent in the last year in the drought stricken City. Good job residents right? Yes! So what does the Water Utility do? They want a 5% rate increase! They say they need the increase to offset the drop in usage! Duh! It’s obvious that the Water Utility has planned very poorly, and now sticks it to us when we do what they asked of us. What ever happened to being awarded for good performance?
As I say let’s call dumb, dumb!
The tax payers pay their salaries and they have no plan except for rate increases, to make up for their lack of a future plan.
Residents did what asked, and the Water Utility should reward Residents, not punish.
Welcome to earth, third rock from the sun. What I simply cannot grasp is why we are being or nailed. Well they say, fight fire, with fire, so hey water company, this ones for YOU: I am going to the BBC, and lodging a FORMAL COMPLAINT, not only for YOU, but for the stockholders that voted for this idiotic’ policies to begin with. Then I’m going to each of your homes, and turning on all your outside spigots. With any luck, we can flood your yards, and have YOU FINED for ‘excessive water usage’. Then let’s see how YOU LIKE IT.
