Eighteen churches and Christian ministries in the small town of Belen, New Mexico, are uniting together to pray for America on Thursday, May 1 at Anna Becker Park. The event is the National Day of Prayer and several hundred evangelical, charismatic, denominational, pentecostal, independent and Catholic believers will be joining together with one voice to intercede for the country and community they love.
The primary focus of prayer, to be led by different pastors, will be for our Government at all levels, the Military and all First Responders, the Arts and Entertainment industry, the Business and Economic community, our Education system from Elementary to the Universities, the local and worldwide Church, the Family and the Disabled. In addition, prayer locations will be positioned around the park to pray for the Sanctity of Life, The Dignity of Marriage, Freedom of Religion and for the Peace of Jerusalem.
It will all begin at 5:30 in the evening with free hot dogs, the blowing of the shofar and singing of our National Anthem, Praise and Worship at 6:00, with prayers beginning at 6:20. Anyone desiring individual prayer will be welcome as well.
Belen is located 30 miles south of Albuquerque on I-25. All are welcome to attend.
