People Magazine is reporting that Country Music Hall of Famer Glenn Campbell was moved to an Alzheimer’s facility last week. Campbell has been suffering from Alzheimer’s since 2011. KOB TV in Albuquerque reports that Campbell spent several years here in the Duke City playing in his Uncle’s band and performing on KOB TV before going to Los Angeles and becoming a Country Music Legend. When I got into radio in the 70’s I played Campbell’s music on KGCX Radio in Sidney, Montana. My favorite was when Glenn would sing, “Wichita Lineman”. In the 1980’s at WFRN Christian Radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana we had Glenn come and put on a wonderful concert, it was an AWESOME evening.
