I sure hope this post is short, because this is a list of things that I am learning that “letting go” –as hard as it is to do, is letting God work through me best.
I woke up just now with a revelation: “We have to let go of something to get someplace new.”
Take a moment and count your losses –Can you see your gains in Christ yet? Perhaps, this will help encourage you –I pray!
Okay, heads up: Pick your section, because this has about three messages in one …if not more, but I am certain God will bless you in your reading! I may go back to edit later to make this more readable, but I would rather post this now as is, than to try just to look perfect. I hope this is a blessing to you … from my heart of God!
Personal note that I don’t mind sharing with you:
To begin, I had to let go of my home town –I prayed never to leave, but God had other plans. This still breaks my heart to this day, because of all I had to let go of.
Yet, I know we followed God’s plan –I see that more and more each day that I am walking the faith of Hope in Today Ministries! I really believe that move was the first step of faith we had to take!
Being a mom, I have had to let go (chosen with great peace and joy to let go) of my practicing career and my confidence in that career –the me that I had found in me … to become someone new a mom!
When we let go of something good that we worked so hard to achieve, it can be scary, knowing how hard it is to return to the level of excellence / COMFORT that we sometimes have to leave to get to someplace better. Over the years of practicing “letting go” The longer we get away from practicing, the harder it is on our confidence –but it all comes back in the end!
About a year ago, I had to let go again -this time more permanent (we –as a family made a choice) and I chose to let go of my Dental Hygiene license –something I worked very hard for! Something I took MUCH pride in what I had become in my career that was all mine; and I had become someone in (in a temporary world). Yet, I had to let go of my own (…plans…) –to continue in God’s.
I had to let go of my hopes of an easy life to follow my husband’s dream –but together we both knew God had opened a door no man could open; and together we walked though each door in faith! That was in 2009 –Today we see what God had planned, as far as we can see Today!
I am seeing that we had to make the sacrifices to let go of some temporary things to learn more valuable lessons in this life –Let go of our own and trust God.
I had to let go (actually, I had already learned the value in this one … I already knew something great in trusting God) -Yet, never the less, I had to let go of praying for healing without surgery, to trust God knowing I had someplace with a purpose to be –and Today, I can see all the good God was working in and through me; and I am grateful to have experienced the beauty and grace that is only found in and through trusting God!
I don’t mind sharing this with you either, because these are temporary things we grow through…and I hope this encourages you to believe in whom God made you to be!
There is something else I am working on “letting go” right now … perhaps you or someone you know is working in this area of growth too?
And that is MY lack of confidence in THE love that my husband has for me; and MY perception of the way he sees me –AWE, but you see, my need is simply to just trust in that love that I know; and believe. And this is how it is in our relationship with God as well!
This is raw and real –and I know my husband loves and adores me dearly … It is the confidence I have in me that matters –I had to let go of insecurities. AND, YOU CAN TOO! YES, I too am human; and a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister, a friend and I too am living in my blessings of getting older, and being married for many good years of “for better and worse” My husband sees the real me –just like God sees the real you -in good times and in bad! And, still, God loves you anyway!
Your perception matters when you look into the mirror!
I share these ‘sometimes raw’ and ‘always tuff’ things I walk through to help someone else, because of the glory of God that raises me higher!
–Confidence, assurance and security in the power of God’s love is so worth being found! These are praises to God –who enables us to overcome all things in Christ!
The world paints a perfect picture of “the way normal looks” {like} and “the way a normal life should be” {like} –But God says let go, trust HIM and learn in a LOVE we can trust –As we are growing in a confidence of :
“Seeing me as God sees me” and seeing our life through God’s eyes!
I hope this helps to build your confidence in “you are wonderfully and fearfully made by God” / as you learn to grow in your confidence in your reflection of Christ is who lives in you …an area I have been lead to teach kids (young and old alike) to grow in!
If you don’t know Jesus as God’s love HE has sent for you to beleive, ask a friend in Christ to lead you in a prayer to help you …As we are God’s gift to each other!
I love to teach in the power of God’s Love: Building Self-Esteem by learning about God’s Love! Bringing God’s perspective forward to Seeing “me” with a new perspective through the eyes of God! These are prayerful teachings God has enabled me to share (and I am sharing with you today) with this message:
When a child of God will believe Jesus gave all that HE had for them and they will accept this prayer for their Reflection –I present this prayer message (sticker) for each child to receive and place on the back of their hand held mirror!
This prayer begins with: “Father, help Me see Me as You see ME.”

Follow the Revelation!!!
Learning to pray in “mind, body and spirit” –we have to let go of our own ideas, our own hopes, our own dreams, our own body, our own attitude, our own sense of right and wrong, our own grief to go to a higher spiritual place of trusting God (peace and joy in Christ alone) …
Learning to pray in “mind, body and spirit” –we have to let go sometimes of our own pity (for self &/or others) –just to let God move in our life or another’s!
“Letting go” of selfish ambition or envy is the end of the beginning of going to the highest place we are purposed to go in Christ on this earth!
In the final end of the beginning, we have to let go of our body –but we keep the breath of God that birthed our soul and spirit to get a new spiritual body; we keep our life in Christ when we place our hope in Jesus –when we 1st beleive.
We have to let go of our own pride to walk in the power of The Holy Spirit –the type of pride that disagrees with God.
We have to let go of envy to walk in the confidence and contentment of our lot –our life according to the purpose in which we are called.
To insert (make room), God is working all things out for the good to them that love God; … according to the purpose of our (growing and continual transformation by the power of the Holy Spirit) into the image of Christ! (To God be the glory in HIS Word, see Romans 8:28 & 29)!
Blessings and Curses are not wrapped in dollar –too much or too little can both be a curse if we don’t let go of desire of temporary things on this earth TO praise God instead! Let go of ambition / pride / doubt / misery, etc. TO Praise God INSTEAD for supplying our needs according to the riches in God’s glory –being content in our purpose in which we are called.
We have to let go of the temporary things in this life often –and many times if feels like just what it is (Picking up our cross daily and following JESUS)!
YET, what happens when we try to hold on and keep everything the same?
To move forward and reach God’s goal that God has for us, we have to let go some our own “emotional ties to hold on to things”, including our family.

23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.
We have to let go of our children –so they can go off to college, on a mission trip, get married or just follow their dream. We have to let go of our children and encourage them, so they can reach their higher calling.
I have to let go of my daughter being a child to allow her to grow up –Yet, she will always be a gift from God to me to love as my child, but I can’t hold on too tight. I have to let her go where God is calling her to be. These are good things, but they are hard –Yet, God is teaching us that when we let go of our own limitations and mind set, we can go somewhere good too –Spiritual peace, truth and trust in Jesus, because our trust is in God.
We have to let go of something to trust in God.
I had to watch my dad die –as he let go of his body so his soul and spirit could get his new spiritual body.
I saw the power in the breath of God (that keeps our body alive) leave my dad’s temporary body on earth –a body that God created and made to last forever –but sin destroyed the perfection; and I saw the power it took for my dad to let go of his natural body to receive his new and perfect spiritual body.
I saw something else too –The power in the breath of God who lives forever. My dad just let go of his body and let go of us for a while to get to the place Jesus prepared him to be!
OH WOW! I just realized! I just understood something wonderful!!! THE PLACE IS WITH THE FATHER!!!
The place Jesus is preparing is not so much the streets of gold, THE PLACE is with the Father!
And as the Father breathes in us through the life Christ has given us –Through the power of the Holy Spirit –WE ARE BEING PREPARED IN THIS DAY TO LIVE WITH GOD ETERNALLY!
OH WOW! I have to go to the Word of God now!!!

Jesus Comforts His Disciples
14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
OH WOW! This morning I prayed, “Lord help me write for your glory and help me learn something I need to know.”
Now, I say, Thank you Father for teaching me this and thank you Jesus for helping me learn how to Let Go!
Jesus is preparing me –in this life to live “in THE CHURCH” (on this earth) as it is in Heaven!
Jesus is preparing me to let go and trust God all the way to Heaven!
Our need is NEVER met by worry, envy or selfish ambition; and neither by remaining in “low self-esteem” –Our need is to let go and trust God! Our need is to believe in whom God created us to be and whom Christ is making us to be –to become that Reflection!
Our need is NEVER to remain pressed down –Our need is to learn the WAY of God; OUR NEED IS TO FOLLOW JESUS, LOOK UP and learn to grow in our dependence on God!
Our need is to use the difficulties in this life as our own personal step stool –as we climb that staircase to Heaven remaining in Jesus Christ!!!
I hope this has been; or one day will be a blessing to you!
This is revelation knowledge –and you just witnessed God release me in the power of the Holy Spirit to “LET GO” by the power that comes from a revelation (Word & Spirit knowledge in Unity) to grow in a higher knowledge of trust in HIM!
And my prayers are also with you for God to release you of some temporary things that are keeping you from where Jesus is leading you to be. Let Go of envy and selfish ambition -and trust in God. Trust also in Jesus!
Open the Good Book! Let’s read The Word of God together and learn to “let go of nature” to LIVE IN LOVE.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
My need is NOT to hold on to temporary things! My need is to keep the love, keep the memories, as I am learning to LET GO of doubt, fear, envy, selfish ambition, guilt, sadness, pride, thoughts of inadequacy and all else as God reveals HIS plan to me –to grow in a higher level with God –as it is JESUS who prepares both me and you in our WAY that is TRUTH & LIFE with God, who IS LOVE!
All we have to do –is Trust in God and let go (look up) (take your eyes off of the ground) to follow God’s Son JESUS to get to where God is leading us to be!!!
I hope this is a blessing to you -I give it all to God and I know as far as it depends on me, God is pleased and in faith I share this with you. In the Name and sake of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit, I give this to God, who will give this to you at His will and in His time.
