Intel has cut 1,5000 jobs from it’s operation in Costa Rica. Costa Rica was using Intel’s presence to build a high-tech sector. We here at FGGAM of course keep an eye out for Intel’s operation in Rio Rancho, NM which has been the subject of layoffs. We have had more than a few friends leave the plant and move out of state to other jobs with a different company, because of the possibility of more layoffs at Intel. Intel continues to struggle because of weak personal computer sales.
