Calvary Launches Reload Love
Calvary launched its new church-wide initiative, Reload Love, at the weekend services, May 10-11. After a time of worship with Battle Drums, Skip and Lenya Heitzig took the stage to introduce Reload Love and invite people to get involved in this outreach. Lenya shared how Reload Love’s mission is to help heal the lives of little ones around the world who have suffered the violence of terrorism. The goal this year is to reach children in Burma, Thailand, and Cambodia. Lenya explained that for sixty years, the government in Burma has been persecuting ethnic minorities and chasing them out of their lands and villages. Reload Love is partnering with the Free Burma Rangers, a group of missionaries who run to the bullets to get these villagers to safety. The Rangers film and photograph what they see to raise awareness and show the world what is happening in Burma. Once villagers are safe, they also run a program similar to a VBS, sharing the love of Jesus Christ and providing shirts, medicine, and different needs for the children. By transforming spent bullet casings into brass charms and donating the proceeds, as well as raising public awareness of this tragedy, Reload Love arms these children with hope. Join the ranks and be a soldier of love; visit reloadlove.com to get involved.Visit: https://www.calvaryabq.org/news
