As we go about our days in Albuquerque, we need to wake up to the true cause of the shootings, stabbings, home invasions, child abuse, etc.
I, like you have talked to many people about the officer involved shootings. I have talked to a number of past and present police officers. Many Pastors. Many Citizens.
There is a symptom in our society that has grown. This is just not a Police problem, the majority of the Police are like you and me, trying to be good citizens.
Our society is producing people who have grown up without a Dad, or Mom, a home that has been ripped apart by drugs or divorce. The stats on single parent homes in America is tragic. Kid’s are not only hungry for love, many are just plain hungry for food!
Kid’s need role models.
This is something that the Justice Dept. cannot solve, the government cannot solve.
Together with God, we can overcome.
The Body of Christ must come together and surround all in love and must have a revival in all homes in Albuquerque. Showing people the true love of Jesus Christ. Providing care for families.
The Church needs a paradigm shift here…….getting outside it’s walls and going into neighborhood’s and homes. The Mormon Church does this well, bringing families together, that is why they are growing so fast in not only America, but the World.
Revival in the home, providing care, medical, food, mentorship and more.
Getting children prepared to go to school so they can learn. New Mexico has children so hungry they cannot learn in the classroom. They may not have bathed for a week or more or have had a change of clothes. This does not come from me it comes from the Teachers I have talked to.
One of the ill’s of the American society is that it thinks the government will take care of everything. I am here to tell you that if a government program could solve the ill’s of society it would have happened years ago, because they have passed ton’s of legislation to do so, but have failed miserably.
That is because it is a heart issue. A heart of Jesus Christ.
Most Americans do not go to Church. Just maybe 20% do. The Church has failed to attract 80% of America.
Too much Church growth in America is from just people changing Churches. There is too much of that! I do not have that figure with me, but it is around 90% or a bit higher.
There are many reasons for low attendance in America, one is that we have built our society to make Sunday just another day of the week, in America, Sunday is no longer the Lord’s day, it’s just another day.
So I say again, the solution is for Christians to go into the neighborhoods and homes of Albuquerque.
Here at FGGAM, we go directly to one person at a time. We are very small, just myself, but we attempt to minister to one person at a time. One person we have been sharing with and praying for was given a car the other day, by another Christian. So now she can drive to work and also take her son to school.
You see, there are far too many people like her in Albuquerque and in New Mexico and across the United States, that do not have a car.
Basics.
FGGAM is also working with Pastor Richard Gordon of “Our Fathers Helping Hands” . We work with Pastor Gordon and individuals that may need a car, washing machine, etc..one person at a time.
Let us be in prayer for New Mexico and especially Albuquerque. Terry Brunner tweeted this message last night:
What a crime-ridden weekend in Albuquerque, shootings, bank robberies. Let’s hope this trend ends. Headlines have to improve.
Let’s do better than hope. let us pray! Let us pray for a change of hearts.
It is so very, very tragic what is taking place in Albuquerque, it is almost like a cloud of death is over the city.
The latest tragedy is that a man barricade himself in his home after a domestic dispute and fired two handguns as he exited his home at about 6:30pm and was shot and killed by Police. The man had threatened his wife with a gun, and she fled the home with her two children at about 12:30pm.
This is Albuquerque Police Dept.’s fourth fatal officer involved shooting since mid-March.
Also in Los Lunas, New Mexico a man was shot yesterday by Police, this man was holed up in his home for hours on Saturday and when he came out, I am told, he had a weapon, and then was shot by Police. At last report he was in the University of New Mexico Hospital.
Let us be in constant prayer, let us pray for revival in the homes here in Albuquerque, in New Mexico, in America. Let us pray that Public Officials wake up to the fact that it is a heart issue problem, a heart for Jesus Christ is needed by all.
The American Church needs to wake up and go forth boldly in our Lord Jesus Christ and knock on doors.
