JESUS FORGAVE US … WE FORGIVE OTHERS

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.

Colossians 3:13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

DO NOT GIVE THE DEVIL AN OPEN DOOR

Ephesians 4:26-27 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.

SPEECH… CONFESS & PRAY. BE HEALED (healing is more than physical) YOU MUST BE RIGHTEOUS TO HAVE EFFECTIVE PRAYERS. JESUS IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

James 5:16 Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

ACTION… FEED YOUR ENEMY; GIVE WATER TO YOUR ENEMY

Proverbs 25:21-22 If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink; for thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.

EXAMPLES: STEPHEN AND JESUS.

Acts 7:59-60 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he said this, he fell asleep.

Luke 23:24 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

WHAT DOES JESUS SAY?

Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another, as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.

NO RESENTMENT OR BITTERNESS – THINK ON THESE THINGS.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

CONFESS OUR SINS = RIGHTEOUS THROUGH JESUS,

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He if faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

OUR PRAYERS THEN BECOME EFFECTIVE.

James 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

PRAY ACCORDING TO HIS WILL.

1John 5:14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

NO ANXIETY… PRAY, ASK, GIVE THANKS.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

THE SPIRIT INTERCEDES.

Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

YOUR FATHER KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED EVEN BEFORE YOU ASK.

Matthew 6:8 Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

BELIEVE … HAVE FAITH.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Matthew 21-22 And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My Name, I will do it.

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

Forgive.

Jesus forgave you; there isn’t anything anyone can do that is unworthy of forgiveness.

Forgiveness shows love.

We are to follow Jesus’ example.

He died on the cross for us so that we can be forgiven.

Because we are forgiven, we can forgive others.

Pray.

Jesus knows what we need, and waits for us to ask.

Ask according to His will, and if we’re not sure…

Jesus prayed, “nevertheless, YOUR will be done…”

and

if we need more faith…

FAITH COMES BY HEARING,

AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD.

– Romans 10:17
