Pictured here is Zach Cieslak, a friend of our son Lars from Columbia College in Chicago. Zach and two other friends are traveling by bicycle from Chicago to Las Vegas, Nevada to help create awareness of cancer. They are filming interviews with cancer survivors for their film project. They left Chicago on June 1 and arrived in Albuquerque last night, we put them up in a Hotel so they could swim and relax. One of the bicycles broke down yesterday near Santa Rosa, NM and a man was kind enough to load everything up in his truck and drive them to Albuquerque! The love of people! Amen! We have lined them up with some friends who have cancer to interview them today and tomorrow. The most exciting stop thus far for the men was in Tulsa, Oklahoma where they received a warm welcome from the community and got to meet many cancer survivors.
