In breaking news, dealing a major blow to Obamacare, a powerful federal court, the DC Federal Appeals Court, has issued a ruling striking down an IRS rule concerning Obamacare subsidies and invalidating a major portion of the subsidies paid out to Obamacare enrollees in 36 states where they did not set up their own state exchanges.
In the case, the plaintiff claimed the Obama administration – in particular, the Internal Revenue Service — is breaking the law by offering tax subsidies in all 50 states to offset the cost of health insurance which is not what the Affordable Care Act permits.
