I met up with Larry Ramsey of Casper Wyoming at the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins game Friday night! PRAISE GOD! I had not seen Larry is years, we used to play baseball every summer day at ‘Moede Park’ in the Fairgrounds in Windom, Minnesota! We both grew up in the wonderful community of Windom!
It’s amazing that people I hear from today, refer to our self made baseball field in the Fairgrounds as ‘Moede Park’!!! LOL! We played baseball there and had so much fun!!! I used to spend hours taking care of the field, mowing the baselines extra short…..and taking good care of the pitching mound…..
Boy did we have fun in those days! Great memories, it brought me to tears to run into Larry at the game and talk about the good old days! Thank YOU LORD for this meeting!
I find more and more that with God in my heart I meet friends from years and years ago, and we pick up where we left off, for God’s glory alone! Amen! GODLY FRIENDSHIPS!
The last time I saw Larry was at my brother Dave’s wedding 12 years ago, but it has been over 40 years since we had the time to talk about the old days! Larry also wanted to share what getting the Daily Cup has meant to him over the years: PTL! Reading the cup everyday would give me inspiration and some great spiritual advice to start the day and make me more secure that God is there for us and how blessed Can we be, we are taken care of by God. Praise God for everlasting friendships!
Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Read Proverbs 18 Proverbs 22:24-25 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared. Read Proverbs 22 Proverbs 27:5-6 Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses. Read Proverbs 27 | Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Read Ecclesiastes 4 John 15:12-15 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. Read John 15 Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Read Proverbs 17 Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. Read Proverbs 13
