July 30, 2014. We share the same Patriarch in Abraham. He is our father/patriarch in being blessed and in blessing others. God used him and his life to teach the world and believers in Christ how to live in blessings. You will find a pattern to follow in both receiving and giving blessings. You are reading this today because of your hunger for more of God. We cannot help God be God nor can we help Abraham be Abraham. But we can receive the “I wills” of God’s blessings. His blessings to us require no works on our part. Because he has blessed you, you will desire to please Him.

Genesis 12:2-3 (NASB) “And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”  Ras  Robinson

Amen to these words by Greg Laurie, we have been saying this for years!

Greg Laurie says, “As this world gets darker, we must ask ourselves the question, “what side am I on?” If I’m on the Lord’s side, it’s time to get serious.”greg

How are you today?

How are you and the Lord getting along?

It is almost unbelievable the world we live in, but then again the truth is, it’s all in God’s book as the world unravels.  I am concerned why it took Facebook so long to get this page down! Facebook has removed a page calling for the death of Jews, after multiple users complained it was hate speech and a gross violation of the social network’s standards.

The page, called “Death to zionst baby killer israeli jews,” which incorrectly spelled “Zionist,” showed an image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dressed as a vampire, with blood dripping from his chin, according to reports.

The page was created on July 25, as Israel continued its military campaign against Hamas.

Facebook initially stated that the page “doesn’t violate our community standards” in a message posted on the page, the Examiner reported. The social media giant, however, later removed it.

A Facebook spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the page had been taken down, saying, “We’ve removed this page for violating our Community Standards. Although the page was previously reported, it was mistakenly allowed to stay on Facebook. We removed the page as soon as we were made aware of the error. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

I also am becoming discouraged as to even what Christians are posting on Facebook! People are taking a wonderful tool to keep in touch with friends and turning it into, well, I don’t know what to call it???? Christians swearing, making rude comments, slamming other people, EVEN THEIR OWN FAMILIES! airing their own dirty laundry,  taking pictures of themselves drinking booze, and even suggestive pictures. Yes, people who claim to know God.  For now we here at FGGAM will continue to use Facebook as a ministry tool until the Lord tells us different.

My God given discernment makes me so sad as to what I see and read.

Thank the Lord for the many people who lift up God and His people on Facebook! crossroads

Did you know that your employer and if you are looking for a job, they are probably looking  at your social media…but know this, more importantly God is watching.

Christians are using words and phrases that in my day were called ‘dirty words’

I pray over Facebook everyday.

Christians act like people of God.

What kind of example are you setting for the world.

An unbelieving world loves to see Christians acting badly.

As Harry Truman once said, They thought I was giving them hell, but I was just telling the truth!”

I don’t post things popular to this world, I post just what God wants me to.

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Hebrews 10:26

For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Titus 2:12

Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,

Colossians 3:5

Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
How does this speak you you?

The Lord’s Answer in Habakkuk 2: 1-3

I will stand at my watch

and  station myself on the ramparts;

I will look to see what he

will say to me,

and what answer I am to

give to this complaint.

Then the Lord replied:

“Write down the revelation

and make it plain on

tablets

so that a herald may run

with it.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time;

it speaks of the end

and will not prove false.

Though it linger, wait for it;

it will certainly come and

will not delay.

I want to mention that yesterday when I posted on prayer, I said I wanted to touch on you all holding us accountable. I was thanking you all yesterday for your prayers and support of the Moede family and FGGAM. When people are praying for you and you have asked for prayer………..make sure you are focused on God and His will for you. Thanking the Lord for all the people who are praying for you and yours.  I find way too many times people ask for prayer on a matter, then act unGodly. God may not be answering your prayers because you are not paying attention to him, it may not be God’s Will. Let me ask you this….What recent experience have you had in which God gave you direction through His Word? Do you hear God? How close are you to God? What is the last thing you know God told you to do which you have so far neglected?

Also have Godly respect for those that are praying for you and yours……be in the Will of God.

Accountability to your prayer partners and most importantly,  being obedient to God are huge issues.

Paul in IsraelOur Dear friend Paul Dokken, who I went to school with back in Windom, Minnesota just returned from a trip to Israel. Here is what Paul posted on his Facebook: Hi Everybody:
Back from Israel. Tel Aviv was free from rockets the day we were there, but 40 miles to the south was quite ugly. Crowds at the open air market were quite light. Beautiful beach of Tel Aviv from my hotel. In the distance is the quaint village of Joffa (Joppa in Bible) where Peter raised Tabitha in Acts 9 and where Jonah began his adventure.
Thanks for your prayers for our safe journey!
Blessings,
Paul

We thank the Lord you have returned safely Paul, you have the covering of the Lord where you go.

Let us all continue to pray for Israel, the apple of God’s eye.

For this is what the LORD Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you–for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye–Zechariah 2:8
