This is a special Israel alert. Our regular “End of Day” report will follow later.

Take Action

I am proud and excited to be on the executive board of Christians United for Israel. Yesterday and today, due to the support of generous donors, we were able to take out full-page ads in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and other major newspapers exposing the radical agenda of Hamas. Click here to see the ad.

In addition, CUFI is mounting an aggresive social media campaign by placing banner ads on the following websites: Beliefnet.com, FoxNews.com, Crosswalk.com, Biblegateway.com and Christianpost.com

Cease Fire Fiasco

Under heavy pressure from the Obama Administration and international criticism of civilian casualties in Gaza, Israel agreed to a 72-hour humanitarian truce brokered by Secretary of State Kerry. The truce ended in disaster in three hours – yet another fleeting Kerry “success story.”

Hamas terrorists emerged from one of the now infamous tunnel complexes and attacked IDF soldiers. One Hamas fighter blew himself up while others apparently captured an Israeli IDF officer. In response Israel has resumed military operations and hopes to recover the soldier before he is moved deep into Gaza.

The latest fiasco won’t prevent Kerry, following Obama’s orders, to once again push for a truce that saves Hamas by preventing Israel from doing what it must do.

The Day After

For Israel the first short term priority is to destroy the elaborate tunnel system and degrade Hamas’ ability to terrorize Israeli communities. The long-term goal is even more important. Gaza must be demilitarized so that the Hamas tunnels are not rebuilt and the rockets replenished. There is growing support for the idea of an international force going into Gaza to monitor any rebuilding effort after the conflict.

U.N. Idiocy

You probably have never heard of Navi Pillay, but in the world of diplomacy she is an important person – the U.N.’s top human rights official. Ms. Pillay and the Geneva-based U.N. Human Rights Council are pushing the narrative that Israel is committing war crimes in the current conflict. There is no such criticism of Hamas, who are good little boys as far as the U.N. is concerned.

The latest “war crime” Pillay is complaining about is that those mean Zionists have not shared the Iron Dome anti-missile system with the Palestinians so that they could knock down Israeli shells! No, I am not kidding. You can read about it here in a column written by my friend and colleague Tom Rose of the now famous Bauer and Rose radio show (on Sirius/XM Sunday mornings Patriot Channel 125 from 10 am to 1 pm EST.)

Iran’s “Moderate” Speaks

The real war going on is not Israel vs. Hamas, it is Iran vs. Israel and the West. Unfortunately our government doesn’t get it and at this very moment is in nuclear negotiations with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. According to the media, Obama and Kerry, Rouhani can be trusted because he is a moderate. Here is what the “moderate” Rouhani, who has armed Hamas, said yesterday: “Today, this festering Zionist tumor has opened once again and has turned the land of olives into destruction and blood and littered the land with the body parts of Palestinian children.” And just think – this guy may soon have nuclear weapons.
